In many markets edible giblets such as hearts, livers and gizzards remain valuable whether for sale for human consumption or for the manufacture of pet food. It is therefore important that as much added value of edible giblets as possible are achieved.
After separated from the carcasses and removed from the inedible offal, the edible hearts, livers and gizzard are transported to a separate area in the processing plant for processing to clean products. Then cleaned giblets can be chilled, and then be transported to another area for further handling and packing.
